Your data and choices

Anglers Base only uses personal information needed to run your account and the features you choose. You can browse as a guest without creating an account.

What is stored

• If you sign in: your email, profile details and security information.
• Content you add: catches, photos, discussions, replies, likes, follows, fishing sessions, tackle, bait and packing lists.
• Basic technical data needed to keep the service secure and working. Guest activity and preferences may be stored locally on your device.

How it is used

We use this information to provide your account, sync your private records, show content you choose to share, operate community safety tools and improve reliability. Anglers Base does not sell personal information.

Location and weather

Your chosen or approximate location is used to request local weather. Saved weather locations remain on your device. Never use the weather score as a safety guarantee.

Your controls

You choose whether catch reports are private or public. Account settings let you update your profile, change your password and permanently delete your account and account content.

TERMS OF USE

Use the app responsibly

Anglers Base provides planning, record-keeping and community tools. Venue details, prices, rules, stock information, maps and weather can change and may occasionally be incomplete. Always confirm important details with the fishery before travelling.

• Follow fishery rules, the law, rod-licence requirements and safe fish-care practice.
• Only post content you have the right to share. Do not impersonate others, mislead users or misuse another person’s information.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service or another account.
• We may hide or remove unsafe, unlawful, abusive or misleading content and may restrict accounts that repeatedly break these rules.

Fishing and outdoor activity involve risk. You remain responsible for your decisions, equipment, permissions and personal safety.

COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

Keep it useful and welcoming

• Be respectful. No bullying, threats, hate speech or targeted harassment.
• Keep posts relevant to fishing and avoid spam, scams or deceptive promotion.
• Protect exact capture locations and private information when sharing catches.
• Use truthful catch and venue details. Respect fish, wildlife, landowners and other anglers.
• Report content that appears unsafe or breaks these guidelines instead of escalating the situation.

For an incorrect lake listing or map pin, open that venue and use Report incorrect information. Use the report option on a community post for moderation concerns.

For account or app help, contact the official ERA Anglers team. Never send your password or a password-reset link.
